Breeder Application – Aubs Maine Coons

What up! Before submitting a BREEDER application please go thru every part of our website (especially the FAQ section!) so that you are familiar with how we roll. While I try to get to every application in a timely manner, please keep in mind that I have a family of humans and felines to care for, and so even though I may not respond right away, please be assured that I will look thru your application in the order that it was received.

All important fields are required such as your name, number and COMPLETE address and current household pets. If you don’t provide me with your full name, number or address the application won’t be considered. Do the best you can with as many of the questions as possible.

Filling out this application is the 2nd step (1st step is to study everything on our website!) to joining the approved families list. Once approved please follow our socials and check the website often for updates on kittens. If you would like to join the paid waitlist and get first chance at picking from the litter before the approved family list/general public, please check out how to do so here.

WE ONLY SELL WITH BREEDING RIGHTS TO THOSE WHO ALREADY HAVE, OR ARE WORKING TOWARDS HAVING AN ESTABLISHED CATTERY, meaning that you are or will become registered, will do the research needed and build up a reputable breeding program.

Have you ever surrendered an animal to a rescue group or animal shelter? If yes, under what circumstances?

Do you use or keep in your home any products that could be toxic to cats, including essential oils (diffusers or sprays), scented plug-ins or air fresheners, wax melts, candles or incense, aerosol cleaners or disinfectants, pest control products (bug sprays, foggers, baits, or rodent poison), lawn or garage chemicals (antifreeze or solvents), nicotine or vaping products, marijuana/cannabis in any form (smoke, vape, edibles, oils or tinctures), human medications that could be accessible, or toxic houseplants (especially lilies or peace lily, pothos, philodendron, sago palm, dieffenbachia, or aloe)? If you have any of the above, please describe your plan to properly store or eliminate them so they are completely out of the kitten’s reach.

When you take possession of the kitten, do you understand and agree that you assume full responsibility for any and all veterinary care and expenses related to the kitten’s health and well-being, including routine care, emergency care, diagnostics, treatment, and any specialty or surgical services, and that these costs are not the responsibility of the breeder?

When you take possession of the kitten, do you understand and agree that you must notify the breeder within 24 hours of any illness, injury, unusual symptoms, or veterinary concern, and provide veterinary documentation upon request?

The following questions is a quiz of some sort to verify you have looked over the pricing/reserving/health guarantee page. Have you read thru the whole page on the website?

No sales tax is required under what conditions?

What form of payment is only accepted at the time of pickup?

How long is the health guarantee?

Payment in full is required to reserve the kitten and at the time of pickup. If you do not have the full amount to be able to reserve the kitten, you will not be able to reserve it until you do. If you do not have the full amount in cash to pickup the kitten when it is time to take it home, you will not be able to take the kitten home with you. Do you understand that I do not accept payment plans for the reservation deposit or the final payment, and that both are required in full to reserve/pickup?

Is the deposit refundable?

Do you understand that the prices are subject to change and do you agree to check the current prices before choosing your kitten?

Do you understand that the kitten will be ready to go home at 12 weeks old and not any sooner than that?

Do you understand that if the kitten isn't picked up by the date that is decided on, there will be a maintenance/boarding fee of $10 per day past the scheduled pickup date, and that if after 1 week of no contact or no pickup after the scheduled date, the kitten will be made available to a new family?

Do you travel often? If yes, who will take care of your cat while you are away?

Maine Coons can live up to 15-20 years. What arrangements have you made to ensure the well being of your animals should something happen to you? (Kitten/cat can always be returned to the breeder)

Will your kitten/cat be allowed outdoors? If yes, explain why and what steps you take to make sure they don't run away.

Have you thoroughly discussed the decision to get a kitten with all decision makers in your household?
