★ Special Note About Jafar
Jafar is completely deaf. Deafness by itself does not make him unhealthy or prevent him from having a good quality of life, and he is not discounted because of it. He is otherwise treated just like any other kitten, with a few simple accommodations to keep him safe and comfortable.
Deaf cats can be some of the bravest and most confident because everyday noises that might startle other cats simply do not bother them. Jafar will need to remain strictly indoors since he cannot hear cars, animals, or other dangers approaching. His family will also need to rely more on visual cues, vibrations, and gentle touch to get his attention and take care not to startle him when he is sleeping.
Because Jafar is the first deaf kitten born in my cattery, I do not have firsthand experience raising a deaf cat long term. His future family will need to be willing to learn about living with and training a deaf kitten so they can provide the safest and best environment for him. I will be learning right alongside them and am always happy to help research and support where I can.
After discussing Jafar with my veterinarian, because he shows consistent signs of complete deafness with no response to sound, additional hearing testing is not considered necessary at this time. I am happy to provide the email correspondence with my veterinarian to his future family if requested.
I am also in the process of phasing blue eyes out of my breeding program, and Jafar's dad, Huxley, is being retired.
Optional DNA Test: $160
DNA testing is available for families who would like an individual genetic report for their kitten. This is an optional add-on and provides the family with the kitten's completed report. Genetic screening is a useful screening tool, but it cannot predict every future health condition or rule out illnesses that are not caused by the specific variants included on the panel.

Application
An application is required for all new families. Applications are reviewed before moving forward with a kitten.
Breeding Rights
Breeding rights may be available on select kittens to approved breeding programs and are handled through a separate breeding-rights agreement.
Purchasing breeding rights gives the buyer permission to breed the cat under the terms of that agreement. It does not guarantee fertility, reproductive success, the ability to produce a litter, final size, coat development, appearance, personality, show success, breeding success, or the health and development of future offspring. Those outcomes can be influenced by many factors outside of either breeder's control.
The kitten's two-year congenital and hereditary health guarantee remains in place with breeding rights, provided the required pet insurance stays active and all claim requirements are followed. If a covered concern arises, proper veterinary documentation will be required and Aub's Maine Coons must be permitted to communicate directly with the veterinarian. Veterinary expenses after the kitten leaves my care remain the buyer's responsibility.
My goal is to make breeding-rights placements clear, supportive, and fair to both breeders while keeping realistic expectations for a living animal. Breeding rights are intended for established or well-prepared programs, and ongoing on-call breeding or whelping mentorship is not included.

Please review the website policies before moving forward. All household members should agree to bringing home a new kitten, and a signed contract is required before the reservation is finalized.
Studio lighting can enhance colors and appearance. Photos and videos posted in more natural lighting can give you another look at each kitten as they grow.
